While Mark Ronson hasn't been in the spotlight much these days, the New York-based Brit has been hard at work on countless projects. His latest is a soulful team-up with Brooklyn-based rapper Theophilus London and Australian singer Sam Sparro. Together, the trio are called Chauffeur, and they're currently busy working on some tracks in New York.

Speaking with BBC 6 Music, London explained that his working relationship with Ronson stems from a mutual love of music. "I met Mark a year ago. He asked me to come down to his radio show in New York City and we just clicked," he explains. "He invited me to his house and we just listened to music for like six hours... It's just a click, it's a mutual thing in the studio with Mark. He's easy to work with and he knows what he wants to hear, so it was great."

The trio leaked their first track, "Soles of Fire," back in October. You can stream it below. Since then, they've been working on new material, including a cover of Sheila E.'s "Glamorous Life." While no concrete plans have been announced for a release, the trio are planning to perform live in New York and London this spring.

Meanwhile, Theophilus London is hard at work on a solo album called Days Before You Left, which he expects to release the summer. Ronson is also working on his next solo album, The Business. That album doesn't have a release date, but it is expected to feature spots from Santigold, Miike Snow and Pill, among others.
