As our Timeline demonstrated, former Screaming Trees and Queens of the Stone Age member Mark Lanegan has had a ridiculously prolific career. A recent highlight of his endless list of collaborations has been his albums with former Belle and Sebastian vocalist Isobel Campbell. Following 2008's Sunday at Devil Dirt, the duo are putting the finishing touches on their third collaboration.

The album is called Hawk, and sees some new collaborators entering the fold. According to Direct Current [via TwentyFourBit], Lanegan and Campbell recruited folk singer Willy Mason, Victoria Williams and former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha for the album.

No tracklisting or audio samples are available from Hawk just yet, but the album is said to be coming out on August 24. The record label is currently TBA.
