Blink-182's Mark Hoppus has shared further details about his cancer journey, confirming he has been diagnosed with stage 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, the same type of cancer his mother previously beat.

In a Q&A session on the artist's Twitch profile, Hoppus shared that he is due for a doctor's appointment that will shed light on whether his chemotherapy treatments have been working.

"Ideally I go in tomorrow and they say, 'Congratulations! Your chemotherapy has worked and you are all done and you'll never have to think about this cancer again for the rest of your life,'" Hoppus said, adding that he'll still have to do three more rounds of chemo regardless of the outcome of the scan and may have to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

Hoppus also described his experience with chemo, stating the first round felt like he "was a zombie that fell onto an electric fence and was just being shocked."

Jokingly, Hoppus added that he wants to get "the worst toupée" or a pirate hat to cover his newly bald head, and hopes he'll end up like an episode of Breaking Bad: "I hope I get the full remission part of Walter White and not the drug manufacturer part of Walter White."

Throughout his most recent updates, he shared photos of his hair loss journey and explained he is keeping in good spirits despite his condition.
