After signing to Dallas Green's Still Records (an imprint of Dine Alone), Canadian folkster Marin Patenaude's sophomore album Sight Unseen has finally arrived. Today, you can listen to it right here at Exclaim!

Produced at Vancouver's Afterlife Studios, the album played host to Patenaude's diverse roster of dedicated musicians. The record serves both as an expression of self and as a way to process grief. She touches on the complexities of our uncertain world, offering a critique on the nature of politics, relationships and more.

"This is an album of release, healing, and celebration," Patenaude wrote of the record in a statement. "It's tracked by the big feelings of an impassioned woman, stories from long ago, and fervour for current beliefs, all with nature as the backdrop. Call it Journey Folk, influenced by Laurel Canyon days, old-time revelry, and playing free."

Sight Unseen follows her 2016 self-titled debut album.
