Mariachi El Bronx Announce New LP, Support Foo Fighters on Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jun 15, 2011

Punky rock group the Bronx were seemingly exploring a side-project diversion when they released their debut album as Mariachi El Bronx in 2009. Since then, however, the group have taken on a life of their own. Refusing to just hang up their sombreros, Mariachi El Bronx have announced another batch of their authentic-sounding mariachi rock tunes.

Fittingly, the album is called Mariachi El Bronx (II) and will feature another batch of 12 songs from the band. The album was recorded with former Oingo Boingo member Jogn Avila at his studio Brando's Paradise in San Gabriel California.

Mariachi El Bronx (II) will be released on August 2 via the band's own White Drugs imprint. In addition to the new album, Mariachi El Bronx will also join Foo Fighters on their upcoming North American tour, the dates of which can be seen below.

Mariachi El Bronx (II):

1. "48 Roses"
2. "Great Provider"
3. "Revolution Girls"
4. "Fallen"
