Manic Street Preachers Announce North American Tour, Play Toronto

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 22, 2015

UK rock combo Manic Street Preachers will continue the celebrations behind their recently expanded The Holy Bible with a batch of North American tour dates. It's doubtful that they'll be walking on water to get here, but they cross the pond in April.

The crew will be undertaking a quick, five-show cycle appropriately called "The Holy Bible Tour," marking the first Manic Street Preachers performances on North American soil since 2009. Most of these will take place in the U.S., but there is a Canadian concert scheduled to take place at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on April 27.

The press release promises: "In addition to performing The Holy Bible on the North American tour the band will also play classic tracks and rarities from their extensive back catalogue."

You'll find the full itinerary down below.

As previously reported, the band delivered a four disc deluxe edition of 1994's The Holy Bible in December. The set packaged together remasters of both the UK and U.S. mixes of the LP with a disc of B-sides and an additional concert set recorded at the London Astoria in 1994. It also made Exclaim!'s list of the best reissues of 2014.

A limited-edition 12-inch vinyl LP picture disc of The Holy Bible is also set to arrive on Record Store Day 2015 (April 18).
