Madonna has revealed that her next studio album will arrive before the end of the year.

The pop queen appears on the cover of this month's Vogue Italia, and discusses her life in Lisbon, Portugal — including how the location has influenced her new music.

"I've just met lots of really amazing musicians, and I've ended up working with a lot of these musicians on my new record, so Lisbon has influenced my music and my work," she said. "How could it not? I don't see how I could have gone through that year without being informed by all this input of culture."

It turns out fans will get to hear the cultural influence of Lisbon fairly soon, too. According to a translation of the Vogue cover story, new songs "will be collected in an album that will be released by the end of the year."

The singer, who turns 60 later this month, moved to Portugal last year to help her 12-year-old son David Banda pursue his dream of playing soccer professionally — though she also conceded that it felt like a good time to leave the States because, "As you know, this is not America's finest hour."

Madonna's last studio album was Rebel Heart, released in 2015. She also recently made a cameo in the video version of Ariana Grande's "God Is a Woman."
