Madonna Blocked from Instagram Live: "I've Never Worn So Many Clothes in My Life"

"What the fuck?"

There are many words one might use to describe the force that is Madonna, but "speechless" is rarely appropriate. However, the mononymous pop icon has taken on a startling new shape since finding out that she's been blocked from Instagram Live.

Today, Madonna posted a video of an attempt to livestream on the platform, wherein she and her team receive an error message claiming that her account had been blocked from posting live videos.

"Not us!!!! Violation of community guidelines………. 👀🚨," she wrote in the caption of the clip, where she can be heard asking, "What the fuck?" and saying that she's "never worn so many clothes in [her] life" in response to the news. The social media company's error message told the pop star that "posts from your account have recently been removed for going against our Community Guidelines, so live video sharing has been temporarily blocked."

"I'm speechless," Madge added in disbelief at the end.

Instagram's expanded Community Guidelines emphasize that content must be appropriate for a diverse range of audiences, thus nudity is not allowed: "This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks."

Over her long career, Madonna has become a reliable source of pushing boundaries with her explicit videos, as well as her provocative clothing and lyrics. Her latest NSFW venture has led her to bravely bring the NFT acronym into the mix: the superstar's new collection of non-fungible tokens (in collaboration with digital artist Beeple) features robot centipedes coming out of her vagina.

IG must recognize the sheer richness of what goes up on the @madonna account, though — without her sharing on the platform, we may have never known that her old house was being sold by a dog.
