Madonna, AC/DC, Ariana Grande to Play Grammys

With awards season now upon us, organizers behind the Grammys have announced that their televised gala will feature musical performances from the likes of Madonna, Coachella headliners AC/DC and pop star Ariana Grande.

The Madonna news arrived yesterday (January 12), with the Material Girl having announced her appearance at Los Angeles' Staples Centre on February 8 via Twitter. As you can see below, the image is of the Grammy's iconic golden phonograph statue wrapped up in wire, à la the promo campaign behind Madge's forthcoming Rebel Heart LP.

Grammy organizers also revealed today that Down Under hard rock vets AC/DC will be strappin' on the schoolboy suits for the 57th annual awards ceremony to no doubt pump out something from Rock or Bust. Despite their lengthy career, this will actually be the first time AC/DC have played the Grammys. However, since Rock or Bust was released late last fall, the album isn't actually eligible for a Grammy this year.

Ariana Grande is set to play the awards show as well. She is nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for the "Bang Bang" with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, as well as in the Best Pop Vocal album for My Everything.

More performer information is still forthcoming, but so far the list of talent also includes English singer-songwriter Ed Sheerhan and country artist Eric Church.
