A$AP Rocky's arrest in Sweden has led to the rapper's contemporaries and those who think they can help to weigh in on the situation. Now, Machine Gun Kelly has shared that he is in favour of giving the Scandinavian nation a pretty sweet ultimatum when it comes to Rocky's release.

Approached by a TMZ camera crew while walking in the street, MGK was asked whether or not the United States should boycott Swedish products in support — specifically, the colourful gummy candy Swedish Fish.

Though he was hesitant about giving up Spotify and IKEA, the rapper's response on the candies was clear: "Fuck Swedish Fish, man. Cancel Swedish Fish until A$AP's free."

While Swedish Fish candy were indeed created in the country in the late 1950's, Swedish confectionary company Malaco marketed the treat specifically to the United States and Canada as part of their expansion into North America.

Nowadays, Swedish Fish consumed in North America are made in Hamilton, Ontario and Turkey by Mondelēz International. The candies are still distributed by Malaco in Sweden.

A$AP Rocky pleaded not guilty to assault charges in Swedish court this week, and testified today that his alleged brawling was in self-defense.
