Lush Hint at Reunion

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 21, 2015

Following Slowdive and Ride, it seems that Lush might become the next classic '90s shoegaze band to reunite. Although nothing has been made official, all signs are pointing to an impending announcement.

Lush have launched a new Facebook page. It's rather barebones at the moment, containing little more than some images, but the "About" page includes up-to-date contact information for the band's booking agents, publicists and manager. They also have a fresh-looking website.

Lush's Facebook account lists their membership as consisting of Miki Berenyi (guitar, vocals), Emma Anderson (guitar, vocals) and Phillip King (bass). The photos also show these same members. Drummer Chris Acland committed suicide in 1996, and there's no mention of him on the page.

The Line of Best Fit points out that, earlier today (September 21), Anderson also tweeted this cryptic hint: Although we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, it seems reasonable to assume that Lush will be making some sort of a reunion announcement next week. Stay tuned to see how this plays out.

Lush broke up in 1998. They released three full-lengths and various short-form releases over the course of their decade-long career.

UPDATE (9/28, 3:10 p.m.): The reunion has now been officially confirmed.
