​Lulaworld 2017 Celebrates 15 Years of Toronto's Lula Lounge

Toronto music venue Lula Lounge has been hosting performers from around the world for 15 years now, and the venue will be marking the milestone with another instalment of Lulaworld.
 
This year's festival will feature 13 concert events, showcasing album releases, dance lessons, workshops, a panel on diversity in music journalism, and a community street performance and mural project.
 
Amongst the artists slated to perform are Dennis Rollins, Alexis Baro, Battle of Santiago, Sonido Pesao, Rachel Therrien, Café Cubano, Dundas Brass, Louis Simão, Aline Morales with Rob Curto, Dorjee Tsering, So Long Seven, Candido, Ed Cherry Trio, Quique Escamilla, Axel Tosca Laugart, and Sean Bellaviti & Conjunto Lacalu.
 
The festival will run from June 1 to 10 with all performances taking place at Lula Lounge (1585 Dundas St. W), except for special afternoon concerts on June 3, which will take place at an outdoor stage in conjunction with Dundas West Fest.
 
Admission to Lulaworld events ranges from free to $30, and tickets will be available on March 1. For full festival information and updates, keep an eye on the official Lulaworld website.
