Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern Adds Lowest of the Low to "Hootenanny" Concert Series

After UIC play Horseshoe Tavern's "Hootenanny" next month, the legendary venue has scheduled another act in its ongoing livestream concert series, with local alt-rock vets, Lowest of the Low, heading up the third instalment.

The band will perform at 8:30 p.m. ET on November 28 for the event, with all proceeds from ticket sales going directly to the band. Tickets are on sale at Eventbrite now for the price of $16.50 and include unlimited rewatches of the performance up until December 23. The concert will be streamed worldwide.

Series organizer Tara King Cohen launched the event series back in August to keep bands — and fans — going until the city can return to live music's pre-COVID glory. Horseshoe's "Hootenanny" kicked off last month with a virtual show from the Sadies

Cohen explained: "No question we'd all much rather get back to heading down to venues like the 'Shoe to catch a great band but since we don't know when that is going to happen, why continually lament missing it?"

Following this, the third instalment in the concert series, the Horseshoe plans to continue to host bands playing "fully electric, professionally shot and mixed, nothing pre-taped — direct and live to air."

Head to the Horseshoe's website for more information, and get your tickets to the upcoming Hootenanny over at Eventbrite
