Almost two years removed from their Chasing Tides EP, Victoria indie pop outfit Lovecoast have been teasing a new single titled "The Floor" these past few months. Now, Exclaim! has your first look and listen at the band's latest work with an accompanying video.
Directed and edited by Raymond Knight, the video shows the band delivering their soul-influenced, highly danceable cut to an audience who remain reserved at first. After a bit of encouragement from vocalist Danielle Sweeney, the crowd find their feet and get lost in the song's infectious groove while busting a few moves of their own.
Watch the band's new visuals for "The Floor" in the player below. Like Chasing Tides, the track was produced by Tom Dobrzanski (Hey Ocean, Said the Whale, We are the City) at Monarch Studios in Vancouver.
Lovecoast will play a show tomorrow (April 16) in Vancouver, as well as the Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival this summer.
