Now that late-night talk show hosts are back working out of their respective studios, Seth Meyers is making up for facetime lost to the pandemic with extra on-set shenanigans. Appearing on last night's Late Night with Seth Meyers was Lorde, who took part in the show's "Day Drinking" segment and got more than a little drunk.
After pounding back drinks with the host — including dishwater concoctions made from coffee, Red Bull, espresso beans, Four Loko, sake, whiskey, red wine, White Claw and more — the pop star woke up the next day predictably hung af.
"I can't look at an alcoholic drink ever again. It was insane," she says in a follow-up interview. "You did kind of destroy me. And I had to get a very pop-star thing: an IV drip."
She added: "Someone came to my hotel and administered fluids to my corpse."
Previously, Meyers has hosted Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and the Jonas Brothers for the segment.
