Liturgy Detail New Album '93696,' Drop Mini-Album 'As the Blood of God Bursts the Veins of Time'

Experimental metal crew Liturgy have announced their newest full-length album, 93696 — due March 23, 2023, via Thrill Jockey — in tandem with releasing brand-new "mini-album" As the Blood of God Bursts the Veins of Time in full today.

Teasing the group's new direction with the four-track release, Veins of Time contains a "three-movement alternative take on the new album's title track," plus new track "संसार."

Meanwhile, 93696 promises to be the "purest synthesis of the diversity of Liturgy, a sprawling and monumental double album exploring religion, cosmic love, the feminine, and metamorphosis while manifesting the ecstatic with breathtaking grandeur," according to a release.
