Formerly a Toronto-based singer-songwriter, Ron Sexsmith is now settling into his new home in Stratford, ON, where for the last few months, he's been preparing to release his new album HERMITAGE. Today, he has shared a new single from the record, celebrating the comforts of home with "Glow in the Dark Stars."

After their big move, Sexsmith and his wife began nestling into their new home. This move sparked the idea for this new release, a song about getting comfortable in new surroundings.

Here's what Sexsmith had to say about his new single:

"Glow in the Dark Stars" is probably my favourite on the record. Where we lived in Toronto (in Trinity Bellwoods), my wife had tacked these glow in the dark stars on the ceiling, so you know, when you turn off the light, you have this sort of night sky above you.  When we moved here (Stratford)… I was happy that I noticed she had put more of these stars in that bedroom, to make me feel more at home.  When you're a songwriter, stuff like that gets you thinking, the next thing you know you've got a song in the works.

"Glow in the Dark Stars" follows the release of album cuts "When Love Pans Out" and "You Don't Wanna Hear It."

HERMITAGE arrives April 17 via Warner Music Canada. Sexsmith will embark on a Canadian tour in support of the record this May. See those dates here.
