Listen to Edward Sharpe Frontman Alex Ebert's Solo Album Now on Exclaim.ca

Despite what the moniker suggests, the singer of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes isn't named Edward Sharpe. It's actually a dude named Alex Ebert, and he's now stepped away from his group for a solo album that's being released under his own name.

Now that he's releasing music alone, it's only fitting that he decided to call his album Alexander, which isout on March 1 via Community Music. Luckily, we here at Exclaim! can offer a free stream of the entire record, which you can hear over in Click Hear.

The album was created during breaks between tours with the Magnetic Zeroes. The tracks were recorded alone in Ebert's bedroom, with the songwriter adding his own violin and clarinet. He previously described the record as a "very humble album with sky's-the-limit sort of qualities."

You can read more about the album here. And, of course, go over to Click Hear to listen to the entire album here.
