Lily Allen recently released No Shame, earning her a Mercury Prize nomination, but her next endeavour is a literary one. She's revealed plans for a new memoir.

Titled My Thoughts Exactly, the book is due out September 20 through Blink Publishing.

It hears the UK singer writing about her career and personal life, from grappling with fame and her struggle with substance abuse to motherhood and divorce.

An excerpt from the book reads:

I'm strong. I can be tough. I've been broken. I'm opinionated.
I'm a people-pleaser. I'm spoilt. I'm needy. I contradict myself.
I try to do good. I want to do good. I'm impassioned. I'm observant.
Most importantly, I tell the truth. And this is my story.

Allen shared the cover on Twitter this morning, adding, "When women tell their stories, loudly, clearly and honestly, things begin to change — for the better."

My Thoughts Exactly is available for pre-order here.
