Lil Wayne Says Black Lives Matter "Sounds Weird" Before Storming Out of TV Interview

Lil Wayne has been making some strange remarks about American racial issues in recent months. Back in September, he mentioned that he wasn't sure if racism still existed. Now, he's seemingly trashed the Black Lives Matter movement.

As TMZ reports, the rapper appeared on ABC's Nightline, where he was asked for his opinions on the Black Lives Matter movement.

Seemingly frustrated, Wayne said, "It just sounds weird. I didn't know that you put a name on it."

Lest you think Lil Wayne was completely missing the point, he did admit that the movement exists because "somebody was shot by the police for a fucked up reason."

That said, his main point was, "I am a young, black, rich motherfucker. If that don't let you know that American understands black motherfuckers matter these days, I don't know what it is."

He continued: "Don't come at me with that dumb shit, ma'am. My life matter. Especially to my bitches."

Weezy concluded by saying he doesn't feel connected to the Black Lives Matter and stormed out of the interview saying, "I ain't no fucking politician."

UPDATE (11/02, 4:45pm): Lil Wayne has responded to this scenario in two different ways. He first tweeted that people were misunderstanding his "intelligence." Then, in a statement made to TMZ, he claimed that the reporter had asked him frustrating questions leading up to the Black Lives Matter discussion.

"When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated," he said. "From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses."
