Lil Wayne Loses Lawsuit Against Quincy Jones III, Ordered to Pay Out $2.1 Million

BY Josiah HughesPublished Nov 6, 2012

Earlier this year, Lil Wayne filed a lawsuit against filmmaker Quincy Jones III (aka QDIII) for allegedly using unauthorized music in his 2009 documentary Tha Carter, which took a behind-the-scenes look at the rapper's life. Now, Wayne has not only lost the case but also been successfully countersued.

As TMZ reports, a jury ordered Lil Wayne to pay Quincy $2,195,000 to make up for blocking the film's initial release and getting in the way of potential profits.

It didn't help that Weezy missed his actual court hearing. As previously reported, the rapper suffered one or potentially two bouts of seizure-like symptoms, which prevented him from making the trial.

Unfortunately, that meant Wayne's lawyer was forced to show the rapper's deposition to the jury, a video that had already leaked to the web and gone viral for Wayne's insanely disrespectful behaviour.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out the deposition worth two milli below.
