Following previous suspicions, it's sadly been confirmed that rising emo rapper Lil Peep died due to an overdose connected to the deadly drug fentanyl.

As TMZ reports, the official toxicology report has now been released, and the Pima County Medical Examiner has determined Lil Peep's cause of death came from the "combined toxic effects of fentanyl and alprazolam."

Alprazolam is generic form of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax. Together, the two drugs make an especially deadly combination.

The medical examiner also ruled the death was accidental.

As previously reported, the rapper born Gustav Åhr died at the young age of 21 on November 15 in Tucson, AZ.
