You have to give credit to Lil B for going against the grain. The eclectic rapper recently revealed that he would be helping his tabby cat Keke to launch a hip-hop career, and now he's kept the weird stuff coming, as Lil B has released an all-instrumental album of classic music called Choices and Flowers.
Yesterday evening (May 23), Lil B tweeted, "'THE BASEDGOD' HAS MADE HISTORY TODAY HE PRODUCED AND COMPOSED HIS WHOLE CLASSICAL MUSIC ALBUM! HISTORY!! 'CHOICES AND FLOWERS.'"
This was part of a Twitter rampage that consisted of dozens of tweets saying almost the exact same thing. He also wrote, "IM THE GREATEST MUSICIAN TO GRACE EARTH AND GOD KNOWS IT I THANK YOU BASEDGOD FOR I WILL BECOME BETTER THEN YOU BUT I LOVE YOU." Well at least he isn't falsely modest.
The 17-track collection was released under Lil B's moniker the Basedgod through BasedWorld Records. See the tracklist below and, if you're intrigued, buy it or $9.99 over at iTunes.
Interestingly, iTunes lists the genre as "new age," which is probably more accurate than "classical" based on what we've heard so far.
