Life and Times of Hüsker Dü's Grant Hart to Be Documented in New Film

Director Gorman Bechard already successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for his Replacements documentary, Color Me Obsessed. Now, the college rock enthusiast is looking to do the same for Every Everything, a film about one-time Hüsker Dü drummer/co-songwriter and solo artist Grant Hart.

The film's full title is Every Everything: The Music, Life & Times of Grant Hart. As the title suggests, the documentary will trace the musician's early life up to his time in Hüsker Dü and all the way to he present. The Kickstarter campaign promises that the feature-length flick will touch on Hart's "influences, his obsessions, his loves, his passions, his art, his music, and everything in between, leaving no stone unturned."

Unlike Color Me Obsessed, which drew on a wide selection of interviews from Replacements fans, Every Everything features just one interview subject: Hart himself.

The director said in a statement, "This film is not just for fans of Grant and Hüsker Dü. This is the ultimate rock'n'roll story. Grant Hart has seen it all, done it all. And for anyone who's ever spent a hour with the man, you quickly realize he's one of the most captivating story tellers you will ever meet."

Go to Kickstarter to pledge your support and receive prizes ranging from a bumper sticker to an advance DVD screener to a dinner with Grant Hart and the film crew. The filmmakers are looking to raise $20,000 in all.
