A Life Once Lost Move to Season of Mist for Next Record, Play Montreal

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 27, 2011

Long-running groovecore outfit A Life Once Lost have hit up more than a few metal labels to release their crushing music over the years. Back in 2003, the outfit loosed their A Great Artist on Converge singer Jacob Bannon's Deathwish Inc. imprint, they landed themselves on Robotic Empire for 2004's Open Your Mouth for the Speechless and their mid-2000s output saw release on metalcore-minded label Ferret. It's been four years since the Philadelphia bangers released their last full-length, Iron Gag, but the troupe have announced that they're about to hit the studio. Perhaps fittingly, A Life Once Lost are also letting it be known that they've switched labels yet again.

Via a press release, the group explain that they have now hooked up with Season of Mist, home to other metal powerhouses like Kylesa, Watain and the Dillinger Escape Plan. A Life Once Lost are apparently just about done writing their upcoming record, which is primed for a summer release.

"After over a year and a half of working on this record and setback after setback, we can finally announce that it is coming out on Season of Mist in 2011," guitarist Doug Sabolick said in a statement, adding that the as-yet-untitled album will be an outright wrecker. "Musically, the theme of this record is to pummel the listener into submission via ignorant riffs. We are finishing writing and demo-ing as we speak and look forward to working hand in hand with Season of Mist to deliver our vision to the masses."
