Post-everything experimentalists Liars are gearing up for the release of their next head-scratcher, WIXIW, next month, and the genre-defying trio will get to show off those new tunes on North American stages all summer long.
As previously reported, the troupe's new collection arrives June 5 through Mute. They'll play New York and Los Angeles in June, but the continental journey won't get into high gear until their July 5 stop at San Francisco's Fillmore. As they make their way up the West Coast, they'll stop at Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret on July 9, and eventually head out to Toronto and Montreal as they make their way out East. While the release of WIXIW is roughly a month away, the previously premiered "No. 1 Against the Rush" will be released as a twelve-inch single and digital download on May 29 through Mute. The mini-effort will include the original song, as well as remixes by Matmos and Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, Erasure, VCMG, Yaz) and exclusive B-side "We'll Never Learn."
Liars have also just offered up a remix of "No. ! Against The Rush" by People Get Ready, which you can stream below.
