Liam Gallagher Wants Oasis to Reunite for a Coronavirus Benefit

"Once this is put to bed, we need to get Oasis back for a one-off gig for charity"

Former Oasis member Liam Gallagher went on an optimistic Twitter rant yesterday afternoon (March 19) in an attempt to get his brother Noel Gallagher to reunite the band for a one-off charity event.

Asking his brother to team up for "a 1 [off] gig rite for charity," Liam also pleaded with a number of other artists to host an event in support of those affected by the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic.

"All these miserable fucking cunts in bands who think there too cool for school," Gallagher wrote, "The jam c'mon weller the smiths c'mon marr Rkid oasis c'mon noel what a gig oh and the cheeky girls what a fucking line up c'mon you know."

Oasis split more than a decade ago. Over the years, Liam has tried to reach out to his brother about a possible reunion with little success. If they were to reunite this year, it would be their first performance together since 2009. The band's final record was 2008's Dig Out Your Soul.
