Leonard Cohen Revisits "Old Ideas" Tour for New Live Album

This past weekend, Canadian songwriting icon Leonard Cohen won the Juno Award for Album of the Year for Popular Problems. Now, he's continuing his victory lap with the live album Can't Forget: A Souvenir of the Grand Tour, due out on May 12 through Columbia.

Captured during his recent "Old Ideas World Tour," this 10-track collection is unlike most live albums in that some of the songs were recorded during soundchecks. According to a press release, the album "gives listeners an extremely special glimpse into Cohen's intimate rehearsal process, widely known to be in-depth 'concerts before the concert!,' heard by fans for the first time with this new record."

Can't Forget includes a couple of brand new Cohen originals: "Never Gave Nobody Trouble" and "Got a Little Secret," which are said to be "wickedly funny." There are also covers of Georges Dor's "La Manic" and George Jones' "Choices," plus some new renditions of songs from Cohen's back catalogue.

The tracklist is below. At the bottom of the page, hear the song "Never Gave Nobody Trouble" [via the Guardian].

CD or vinyl copies can be pre-ordered from Cohen's online store, while the digital version is on iTunes.

This follows Cohen's album Live in Dublin, which came out back in December.
