Leeroy Stagger to 'Dream It All Away' on New Album

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 9, 2015

Leeroy Stagger's discography has now reached double digits. The Alberta songwriter's new album Dream It All Away is his tenth studio collection, and it's due out on May 12 through his own Rebeltone label.

The album was produced by Russell Broom (Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, Chixdiggit) in Calgary and Lethbridge. It features drummer Pat Seward (Bryan Adams, Odds) and bassist Mike Lent (k.d. lang, Jann Arden).

A press release describes this album as "the sound of a songwriter entering his 12th year of truly relentless recording, touring, discovering and documenting the good, bad, happy, and sad — the true joy and chore of the troubadour."

For a taste of Dream It All Away, scroll past the tracklist to hear the opening cut "Something Beautiful," which emerges from an intro of amorphous fuzz and turns into a rootsy rock tune.

Also below, see Stagger's live schedule. The songwriter will be showing off those moves like Stagger on by touring from coast to coast in May and June.
