Lauryn Hill has six tracks on the upcoming Nina Revisited: A Tribute to Nina Simone. Now, she's shared another of these contributions with the sprawling "I've Got Life."
The seven-and-a-half-minute soul epic includes a lengthy rapped verse from the former Fugee. There are some soulfully sung hooks, but the bulk of the song's epic runtime highlights Hill's motor-mouthed rapping. The surging backing track bears some similarities to the original, but the verses represent a fairly radical update on Simone's vision.
An abridged version of the track previously emerged on the internet, but the full song can now be heard below. This follows the previously released cuts "Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair" and "Feeling Good."
Nina Revisited: A Tribute to Nina Simone will be out on July 10 on RCA.
