Lana Del Rey Teases 'Norman Fucking Rockwell' LP with New Song "Venice Bitch"

Lana Del Rey gave us "Mariners Apartment Complex" last week, and now the melancholic pop star has offered up another new tune and revealed the title of her upcoming album.

Ever rebranding classic Americana, the new LP is called Norman Fucking Rockwell and it will arrive next year.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Del Rey confirmed that she recorded the album with producer Jack Antonoff, and because they got along so well, the sessions resulted in a "lighter mood" than we usually hear in her music.

"So the title track is called 'Norman Fucking Rockwell' and it's kind of about this guy who is such a genius artist but he thinks he's the shit and he knows it and he like won't shut up talking about it," Del Rey explained. "So often I ended up with these creative types or whatever, and you know, they just go on and on about themselves, and I'm like, 'Yeah, yeah.' But there's a little bit of merit to it also. They are so good."

"I love having painter references because I think sometimes when you're writing you're sort of trying to paint these ideas into existence, because I'm very visual too," she added. "I know it's a crazy title, but that's just the title of the record."

We'll have to wait for further details about the album, but in the meantime, she's shared another new track called "Venice Bitch." It also features an allusion to Rockwell, and clocks in at a whopping 10 minutes.

Her label wasn't too keen on the idea of a 10-minute single, but Del Rey defended the choice, saying, "Some people just wanna drive around for 10 minutes get lost in some electric guitar."

Do exactly that down below.
