Lady Gaga Will Replace Beyoncé at Coachella 2017

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 1, 2017

Beyoncé and her twin babies-to-be had to step down from their headlining slot at this year's Coachella, but organizers have come to the rescue with a replacement that should give the flower crown-wearing crowds their poptimist fix. After following in Bey's steps and stealing the Super Bowl Halftime Show spotlight earlier this month, Lady Gaga will pull another Yoncé by filling in for her "Telephone" collaborator at the California festival.

Coachella confirmed the replacement via Twitter tonight (February 28).

Gaga will be in good company, joining a lineup that boasts fellow headliners Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar.

The festival will run for two consecutive weekends, descending upon Indio, CA, from April 14 to 16, and again from April 21 to 23.

As previously reported, Beyoncé was forced to postpone her Coachella appearance due to doctors orders to "keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months." She is expected to make up the performance at the festival's 2018 edition.
