Lady Gaga, Green Day and Soundgarden Reportedly Headlining Lollapalooza 2010

So like we said earlier today (February 16) when we announced the Sasquatch! line-up, it's officially festival season.

Now, even Lollapalooza is joining in on the headliner-announcing fun, albeit unwillingly. The ol' interweb was alive today with rumours of who would be playing this year's show in Grant Park, Chicago, and now there are some confirmations, thanks to The Daily Swarm.

According to the site, Lady Gaga, Green Day and a reunited Soundgarden are all "locked in" to perform at this year's festival, which is scheduled to occur the weekend of August 6-8. Also confirmed to be in negotiations are the Arcade Fire and the Strokes, who are currently at work on album number four.

The Lollapalooza message board is absolutely teeming with line-up rumours, which are categorized as either "semi-confirmed" or "rumoured to be playing." The former category includes Drive-By Truckers, the Cribs, Infected Mushroom, Company of Thieves and X Japan, while rumoured acts include the Flamings Lips, Phoenix and the Beastie Boys, among others.

Of note is the fact that this isn't Lady Gaga's first appearance at Lollapalooza. In 2007, she performed as a bikini-clad brunette sans artsy costume and larger than life persona.
