Lady Gaga Gets Her Own Line of Condoms

Thanks to her fascinating fashion sense, creepy music videos and insufferably catchy songs, Lady Gaga has completely taken over the world of pop music. Now, the starlet is using her high profile to combat HIV and AIDS. First, she launched an ad campaign with Cyndi Lauper and MAC make-up for their VIVA Glam campaign. Now, she's taking a more, er, hands-on approach to battling the disease.

We're talking, of course, about the Lady Gaga-branded condoms. According to MTV, Gaga has teamed up with designer Jeremy Scott to design some ribbed condoms. The rubbers will be manufactured by Proper Attire, and will be available through them and the hip NYC boutique Opening Ceremony.

There's no question that this is a noble attempt to spread the message of safe sex across the world, but we're a little worried about the Gaga influence. After all, when you combine Gaga with the world of high fashion, the result usually involves leather, spikes, fake blood, over-the-top head-dresses and other weird accessories. Perhaps that's something to keep in mind before you let her designs tamper with your nether regions.
