Krill

"Tiger"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jan 30, 2015

Indie rock experimenters Krill are back with a new single titled "Tiger."

As Rolling Stone points out, the Boston-area band released their last record in USB format — and then placed those USB sticks into balls of mozzarella cheese balls, priced at $100 a pop. Pretty unsurprisingly, they didn't sell any copies, but they're back with a new track about a likeable villager.

The track's lyrics tell the story of said villager getting mauled by a tiger, which is mirrored in the music. The jangly, quirky indie rock tune slowly devolves into a crescendo of smashing cymbals and noise.

"Tiger" will appear on Krill's forthcoming album A Distant Fist Unclenching, which is out February 17 — sans cheese. Give it a listen below.
