Kimya Dawson, Jeffrey Lewis and Karl Blau Become the Bundles, Ready Debut Album

With all the hype that surrounded her contributions to the Juno soundtrack, it's easy to forget that singer-songwriter Kimya Dawson has had a long and storied career. From founding the Moldy Peaches and pioneering the anti-folk movement to her deep catalogue of solo work, Dawson has never slowed down. There's also the Bundles, a band she formed in 2001. Now, nine years later, they've prepared their debut album.

The band feature Dawson performing alongside fellow songwriters Jeffrey Lewis and Karl Blau, plus the rhythm section of Anders Griffin and Jack Lewis. Recorded at Dub Narcotic Studios in Olympia, WA, the band's self-titled debut includes "Pirates Declare War" and "Be Yourself," so it's safe to expect Dawson's usual mix of goofy lyricisms and inspiring messages.

The Bundles will be released by K Records on March 9.

The Bundles:

1. "A Common Chorus"

2. "Pirates Declare War"

3. "Klutter"

4. "Shamrock Glamrock"

5. "Over the Moon"

6. "Ishalicious"

7. "In the Beginning"

8. "Desert Bundles"
