Killers' Brandon Flowers Working on Sophomore Solo Album with Ariel Rechtshaid

Though the details are slim, the Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has revealed plans to have another solo album, due out in 2015.

Four years have passed since the singer stepped away from his full-time duties with the Killers to deliver Flamingo, but Flowers has confirmed that it won't be much longer before he issues the follow-up. Though a title has yet to be revealed, recording sessions are already underway with producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Vampire Weekend).

"He's taking me out of my comfort zone," Flowers told NME of the in-studio relationship with Rechtshaid. "Normally I make demos and they're pretty similar to how the song ends up, but he'll take a song and be like, 'I hear this.' It's incredible – his palette and his range, what he's able to say. At first we were butting our heads together, but now we're hitting it off."

Though the direction of the as-yet-untitled LP hasn't been explained in full, Flowers noted that he's "excited about it" and that "there's only a little bit of Vegas" in the songsmanship.

The Killers issued their Direct Hits best-of in 2013, but their last full-length was 2012's Battle Born.
