The Killers Announce North American Tour

Rock’n’roll posterboys the Killers have announced they will kick off the new year with a series of live dates, one of which finds them playing Toronto’s Air Canada Centre January 23. Along with the lone Canadian date, the Los Vegas act will hit up several U.S. cities, starting things off with a show in Denver on January 17 and closing things down in North America in Grand Prairie, Texas not Alberta, on February 4. After that, the band will begin a three-week UK tour.

All the dates come in support of the Killers’ forthcoming Stuart Price-produced third album Day and Age, which is set to be released November 25 via Island Records. This also includes the "so sold-out it hurts” preview the band are giving Toronto at Massey Hall on November 18.

To refresh your memory on what’s at stake here with Day and Age, front-man Brandon Flowers told Rolling Stone: "Everything is at stake on this album. Everything. I live through these songs. People make such a big deal about the second album: ‘Do or die.’ But I feel like the pressure to produce something great will always be there. It’s our job, after all... We learned that you can’t please everyone, but we’ve got faith in what we do, faith in our fans and faith in the soon-to-be-converted.”
