Nearly three years removed from her debut album, Kelly Lee Owens has readied a follow-up effort. The London-based producer will release sophomore LP Inner Song on May 1 through Smalltown Supersound.

UPDATE (3/24, 11:25 a.m. ET): Due to COVID-19 concerns, the album has now been pushed back until August 28.

Ten tracks in length, Inner Song was born out of what Owens calls "the hardest three years of my life...my creative life and everything I'd worked for up to that point was deeply impacted. I wasn't sure if I could make anything anymore, and it took quite a lot of courage to get to a point where I could create again."

Owens notes that the album's title — borrowed from a 1972 release from jazz musician Alan Silva — "really reflects what it felt like to make this record. I did a lot of inner work in the past few years, and this is a true reflection of that."

Inner Song features a cover of Radiohead's "Arpeggi," the voice of fellow Welsh artist John Cale and lead single "Melt!," which features samples of a melting glacier and people skating on thin ice. You can now hear "Melt!" below.

Exclaim! named Owens's eponymous debut album one of the Top 10 Dance and Electronic Records of 2017. Last year, she teamed up with Jon Hopkins for collaborative single "Luminous Spaces."

Inner Song is now available for pre-order.
