Once again it's weekend time, and that can only mean one thing in Exclaim! land: our news roundup is here for the taking.

First up, Karkwa came out on top to win the Polaris Music Prize. The Quebecois art rock ensemble beat out some stiff competition, too, including Broken Social Scene, Caribou, Shad, and Tegan and Sara. Exclaim! recently interviewed Karkwa, so if you want to get to know your Polaris winner a bit better, click here.

In some other Canadian music news, K'naan is once again drawing controversy, this time over an axed BC charity show, while we found out Drake may soon be ditching Toronto for the U.S. of A. Also, Fucked Up are working on their new LP with Vampire Weekend's and Sleigh Bells' studio whiz, and Crystal Castles are officially "Toronto's most huggable douchebags."

Meanwhile, Weezer have begun rolling out their Blue Album/Pinkerton tour dates, Dave Matthews Band fans became the target of a terrorist plot, Sufjan Stevens's label took aim at Amazon, and we finally answered the age-old question "Who would win in a fight: Madonna or Ween?" (Hint: only one of the artists has the power of the Boognish.)
