Kanye West Teams Up with Skrillex on New Solo Album

Remember when Kanye West rapped over a Daft Punk sample on "Stronger" back in 2007? Well, forget his dalliance with French touch, as he's apparently embraced his inner EDM. According to a recent interview with funky-haired production whiz Skrillex, the two have teamed up on a new track.

Speaking with The Daily Beast, Skrillex confirmed that the pair worked on music together for Kanye's upcoming solo record. "I did some music with Kanye and from what I know, it's actually going to be the first song on his new album," Skrillex said.

For now, that's all we know about Kanye's wub affair. Previously, 'Ye collaborator No I.D. revealed that he had already been hard at work on the solo effort, so hopefully it'll land sooner than later.

Of course, the next big project from Mr. Kardashian is his upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer, which hits shelves on September 4 via G.O.O.D. and Def Jam.
