Kanye West Shares NSFW "Theraflu" Art, Riles PETA over Track's Lyrics

Yesterday (April 4), Funkmaster Flex premiered the new G.O.O.D. Music track "Theraflu," featuring Kanye West and some synth-assisted beats from DJ Khaled, and already the song has come under fire from animal rights group PETA.

The track raised eyebrows over at the organization because of the Yeezy-delivered diss "Tell PETA my mink is draggin' on the floor." Apparently the jab from the fashion-focused spitter wasn't taken lightly.

"What's draggin' on the floor is Kanye's reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings," PETA senior vice-president Dan Mathews said in a statement sent to XXLMag.

"He's a great musician but doesn't seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes," he continued. "We keep hoping that one day he'll find his heart and join evolved style icons -- including Russell Simmons, Pink, and Natalie Portman -- who have dropped animal skins."

West hasn't issued a statement of his own, but did, however, tweet some artwork to accompany the single, which you can see above. The slightly NSFW painting sticks to the rapper's M.O., and features a headless, chest-exposing woman wearing a fur. A bottle of Theraflu, the over-the-counter cold medicine, sits atop her neck stump.

This isn't the first time PETA has butted heads with West. Mathews previously criticized Kanye and then-girlfriend Amber Rose for wearing a fur coat to Paris Fashion Week in 2010.

"Kanye can't help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show," Mathews said at the time. "He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo."

UPDATE: Well, it looks as if drug manufacturer Theraflu may have a bone to pick with Yeezy as well. In a statement to TMZ, a company rep said, "We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner." So far, though, there is no sign of the company taking any legal action against Kanye.
