Kanye West Scores His Own Trailer for Lindsay Lohan Movie 'The Canyons'

Excited about The Canyons, the new erotic thriller starring Lindsay Lohan and porn star James Deen? If the answer's "no," that may change thanks to a new trailer scored by A-list rapper and all-around media magnet Kanye West.

Pitchfork points out that this trailer was re-edited by Nate Brown in association with Kanye's company DONDA. Yeezy himself created the darkly dramatic music with collaborated Noah Goldstein.

As far as we can tell, the footage is the same as the regular trailer, although the colours have been tweaked and, of course, the music is new. Watch both Kanye's version and the original below.

It's not entirely clear how Kanye came to be involved with The Canyons, but it most likely came about through writer Bret Easton Ellis, who helped create Kanye's recent American Psycho spoof. Ellis recently revealed that he has another script of some sort in the works for the rapper.

As previously reported, The Canyons was scored by Broken Social Scene's Brendan Canning. The film is out today (August 2).
