Kanye West Reveals "Banned" Album Art

With his long-awaited album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy set to drop on November 22, Kanye West continues to commandeer our attention on a near-daily basis. The latest news in the ongoing saga is the album's art, which was reportedly "banned" by his record label.

Though it's not quite a picture of his dick, the rejected cover art for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a little racy, with a naked Kanye sprawled out on a couch while a naked lady with phoenix wings rides his thigh. Kanye announced on Twitter that the cover was "banned in the USA," adding, "They don't want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix!"

In his own defence, he wrote, "In the 70s album covers had actual nudity... It's so funny that people forget that... Everything has been so commercialized now...In all honesty ... I really don't be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers." Then he invented a new, incredibly lame hashtag called "#Kanyeshrug."

Kanye also recently announced that his Runaway film will debut on MTV, VH1, BET and MTV2 on October 23 at 8 p.m. EST. A Canadian air date has not been confirmed, but the film will likely air on MTV Canada.

As well, those keeping track will note that Kanye's latest G.O.O.D. Friday leak was the song "Take One for the Team" featuring Keri Hilson, Cyhi the Prince and Pusha T. The track can be grabbed here.
