Kanye West, Pusha T, Erykah Badu to Contribute New Music to 'The Land'

After hitting the festival circuit earlier this year, Erykah Badu's Nas-produced film, The Land, is set for a wider theatrical release in the summer. It's also going to be treated to a soundtrack release that will feature exclusive music from Kanye West, Pusha T, Jeremih and more.

As Complex points out, the film is set to hit theatre screens and on-demand services on July 29. That same day, a soundtrack curated and produced by Nas will be delivered through Mass Appeal Records. Though a tracklisting has yet to appear, it will also feature new music from Badu, Nas, co-star Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana, Nosaj Thing and more.

As previously reported, The Land focuses on four teenagers in Cleveland who dream of becoming professional skateboarders. Things apparently go awry in the film once the youths find a bag of Molly and end up getting involved in a drug ring. Badu appears in the film as a strung-out prostitute.

The film had screened earlier this year at Sundance. You can read Exclaim!'s review of the film over here, while a trailer for the flick can be found below.
