South Korea-based pop phenomenon BTS has cracked the North American market in a huge way, earning the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

Love Yourself: Tear by the K-pop stars sold an impressive 135,000 units in its first week, bumping Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys from the top spot.

It is the first non-English album to hold the No. 1 spot in the U.S. since Il Divo's Spanish, Italian and French album Ancora in 2006.

South Korean President Moon Jae-In has even taken notice of the achievement, releasing a statement of congratulations to the group. He noted their outstanding dancing and sincere singing, adding that their "magical power turns grief into hope and differences into similarity."

The growing fanaticism surrounding the K-pop group became evident at the recent Billboard Music Awards, where they won Top Social Artist for the second year in a row and received the loudest cheers of the night by a long shot.
