Justin Timberlake to Play 'Gong Show' Host/Assassin Chuck Barris in New Apple Series

Justin Timberlake has landed his next acting gig. Following the recently released Palmer, JT will be playing infamous Gong Show host Chuck Barris in his next role.

Like Palmer, the project will arrive via Apple TV+, and the as-yet-untitled series will be based on Barris' memoir Confessions of a Dangerous Minds, Deadline reports.

The 1984 book found Barris claiming that hosting shows like The Gong Show, The Dating Game and The Newlywed Game was all just a cover for his real job as a CIA assassin.

If that sound familiar, it's because it is — the memoir was already turned into the George Clooney-directed film Confessions of a Dangerous Minds, in which Sam Rockwell played Barris back in 2002.

So far, the series with Timberlake is without any real details, including its release date, so you will have to stay tuned.
