Toronto alt-country songwriter Justin Rutledge has previously been closely associated with Six Shooter Records, but he has now jumped ship to another stellar Canadian company, Outside Music. This label (which also serves as his management) will be the home for the singer's upcoming reissue and brand new full-length.

First up is a remastered version of Rutledge's 2004 debut album, No Never Alone. The long-player will be available on vinyl for the first time, while the deluxe digital version will include some bonus tunes. These include outtakes and demos from the album recording sessions. Expect this to drop in September.

As for the songwriter's next album, it's already recorded, having been tracked at Toronto's Woodshed Studio. There's no title or firm release date just yet, but look for it to be released early next year.

In related news, Rutledge will appear in the play The Arsonists at Toronto's CanStage this fall. He will perform in the play and also composed the original music. There's no word as to whether this music is related to his new album, or if The Arsonists tunes will see an official release.

In one last bit of Rutledge news, he will perform on June 15 at Toronto's Drake Hotel as part of NXNE.
