Justice Caught "Unplugged" At Live Gig

Justice have landed themselves in a bit of an awkward situation this week after a photo surfaced on the internet revealing what appears to be the duo faking their live set.

Look at the photo above and you'll see that while Xavier de Rosnay (on the right) tweaks his mixer, Gaspard Augé is working away on a MIDI controller, or to be more specific an Akai MPD24 drum pad controller. Yet look a bit more closely and you'll see that neither the standard MIDI Out or USB port of Augé's unit are plugged in, meaning he's transmitting no sounds whatsoever.

However, in wake of the "faking it" allegations, Augé has issued a statement in attempts to clarify what's really going on here. "I couldn't remember the city but I think it was in Manchester," he said via Beatportal . "I didn't notice at first, because as you can see I was looking at the computer to launch the next vocal hook and right after I realised that the blue screen went black, so there was no way possible it could work. So I plugged it back in, big deal! And the next thing you know is this picture."

And perhaps Augé is telling the truth, after all, you can see the end of a USB cable sitting directly behind his MIDI unit. Truth or not, though, there's no denying this is definitely one embarrassing party pic.
