Julien Baker will be heading to Calgary later this year to perform and guest curate the 2019 Sled Island festival.
The festival will take place at more than 35 venues across Calgary from June 19 to 23.
Baker will perform at the Palace Theatre on June 22, while her handpicked artists will join more than 250 other bands on the full roster. Those curated picks will be announced in the months to come, in addition to the full festival lineup.
Julien Baker released an EP with Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers called boygenius last year. She also recently teamed up with members of Death Cab for Cutie, the Hold Steady and the National to pay tribute to the late Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit.
Previous guest curators at the Calgary fest include Deerhoof, Flying Lotus, Peaches and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
